Osteopathy and Holistic Pelvic Care
Clio graduated in osteopathy and naturopathy with distinction from the British College of Osteopathic Medicine. Her journey into osteopathy began after her own positive experiences of treatment and the drive to work with others to help them feel and move better.
Clio treats a wide variety of patients including sports and movement enthusiasts, desk workers, newborns and the elderly. She has undertaken post-graduate studies in cranial osteopathy, osteopathy for babies and Holistic Pelvic Care. She is currently specialising in women’s health osteopathy with the Molinari Institute of Health, enabling her to develop a tailored and integrated approach for pregnant, pre- and post-natal women.
Clio uses a range of different approaches in her sessions, including structural, visceral and cranial osteopathy, that she adapts for each individual to help their body back into balance.
Clio has a background in contemporary dance and capoeira, and is also a trained scaravelli style yoga teacher, all of which she draws on to tailor movement and exercises for injury prevention and rehabilitation. Advice on nutrition and lifestyle is also offered where needed.
She is registered with the General Osteopathic Council and a member of the Institute of Osteopathy.
She has completed further training in Holistic Pelvic Care as taught by women’s health physiotherapist Tami Lynn Kent. Holistic Pelvic Care involves gentle internal massage of the pelvic floor muscles and fascia alongside attending to emotional holding patterns in the pelvic bowl using dialogue, visualisation, breath-work and abdominal contact. Treatments help re-balance the pelvic floor and increase blood flow to pelvic organs, which can improve problematic symptoms.
